The food and experience was excellent. Learn much about Spain and its cooking culture. Warm experience. Address didn’t match location. Hard to find. Recommend the experience.

9/01/2023My friend and I visited the space for a cooking class on the 13th of April 2024.
We were two from a group of about 10 others.
We made Tapas (Pan con... read more tomate) with Jamon (I don’t eat pork so cannot comment on that), cheese, made Sangria (I don’t drink either but my friend says it was very well balanced) and we made a Seafood Paella.
The tutor, a wonderful gentleman named Eladi, was such a wonderful host to us. He involved each of us in the cooking process, engaged us in conversation, and I guess we were very lucky to be part of such a fun and engaging group. We all had a wonderful time and definitely learned a lot.
In fact, my friend is Spanish, and he walked away from the class learning a few new tips and tricks.
Eladi is very open, and allowed us (me mostly lol) to explore our curiosity in the kitchen and answered all our questions patiently. He also involved our olfactive senses, which I think is an equally important part of cooking.
Also it’s a very good value for the money.
Definitely an experience one should engage in if you’re visiting Barcelona.
I cannot comment on the commute as we arrived by car.
Thank you once again, Eladi for such a wonderful experience. Unfortunately we left early because we had such a busy day planned ahead of us.Maryam

great place with a nice atmosphere. Anna told us about traditions and Catalan food. It's a great idea when you want to experience sth more than tourism.

WONDERFUL. Relaxing and absolutely local experience. Great space. Lovely, knowledgeable hostess. I can safely say this (apart from Sagrada Familia and Gaudi) was the highlight of our trip to Barcelona.... read more We felt so refreshed and relaxed after this experience. I highly highly recommend doing this if you have half a day to spare. In fact make time for this. You wont regret it. My kids (11y and 8y - YES!) did a lot of cooking and chopping and totally loved it. Anna was amazing; I would do this again anyday.

Initially I registered for another paella cooking class, but it was cancelled a day before the class. I looked online and and was glad that i managed to find this... read more class. It was an excellent class! Anna is a very passionate and articulate teacher, and she shared with us all about Spanish cooking. She prepared a drink Sangria with red wine, a dessert crema catalana ( which involves a blow torch), and chicken, prawn and green bean paella. As there was one participant which was vegetarian, we also had a smaller pan of artichoke paella which was delicious. (so its good that you go with a vegeterian! Haha) This class is interactive as for each step Anna would demonstrate and then someone could volunteer to take over. At the end of the class I purchased the wooden spoons we ate with :) I saw that they also had "pimento la vera" and saffron for purchase, but I had already got that on my trip to Granada, a few
